about laura

Well hello there! Thank you for stopping by! My name is Laura Trebesh. I am a medical photographer by day, but my true passion lies in portrait and macro photography. My obsession began when I was studying fine art photography at the College for Creative Studies, a school recognized as a world leader in art and design education. All of my assignments turned into portraits of my (extremely) patient friends or macro images of my favorite fruits, vegetables and plants. I treasured the moments of capturing the personalities of my most favorite people and I loved the textures and colors that come along with the macro photography. Besides doing portraits, I also have an etsy store of my macro photos.

I’m originally from Rochester Hills, Michigan and am a Detroit Tigers fan through and through! I currently live in Golden, Colorado with my amazing husband Craig, our crazy pooch, Cosmo Kramer, and our new baby Penelope Faye! Becoming a mother has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It’s incredible to watch her grow and learn on a daily basis. Her sweet little smile just melts my heart!!

Craig, Cosmo and I moved to Colorado for the same reason as everyone else- the beautiful mountains and all of the outdoor activities! There’s nothing like the feeling of being surrounded by nature and breathing in that fresh mountain air. If it were possible, I think I’d spend every waking moment outdoors. I enjoy the peace and tranquility that comes with being in nature. I love winter and wish it would snow year round. One of my favorite things is taking Cosmo on early morning, snowy runs before anyone else has made any footprints. I love early morning peppermint mochas. I count down the days until Christmas. I get misty-eyed when I’m at my happiest. I smile as much as I possibly can. One of my life goals is to run a 50 mile ultramarathon.

Thank you for getting the time to know me! I’d love to get to know you! Please send me a message through the contact section of my page if you’re interested in booking a session.
